I opened my store almost 18 months ago.  Other than an initial build, I did nothing with it.  I had no traffic or sales but that was intentional as I had an Etsy store that I was still learning.  I recently (December) changed my Shopify store theme, created a business Facebook and Instagram page, and started working on SEO.  I am terrified to drive any traffic to the store (for some crazy reason, I had a random sale) because I don't think the site is ready for the public.  I have a fear of exposing a less-than-professional looking site but I don't want t just sit on it for another wasted year.

Can I please get some constructive feedback?  I want to make this site great and would love to know (good and bad) if I am on the right track!

Thanks very much!

Shenanigans Graphics is an ecommerce store on the shopify platform.

Shenanigansgraphics.com

My first impression is a clean simple layout dominated by a an excessively large header image displaying a number of various products. Below that we have 3 collections, Soy candle, Shop Men, Shop Kids, and no womens?

Then we have a random selection of products with no theme, finishing with featured collections of Towels, Soap, Cards, Notebooks and gift Bags.

It's only after a minute or so that I realised this is not just a graphics store. It's actually a gift store.

The overall homepage needs some adjustments to convey the products you are actually offering.

The main heading at the top needs a welcome message like "Welcome to Shenanigans Graphic Gifts for all the family"

Then as you go down the page add sections such as "Graphic Gifts for Him", "Graphic Gifts for Her", "Graphic Gifts for kids" and "Graphic Gifts for the Home" this will help both the search engines and visitors understand at a glance what the store is about.

The collection pages need SEO optimisation. Add some brief introductory content describing the collection, add more keywords to the page titles and URLs. Example: the baby collection simply says baby for the title and URL. It should read something like "Graphic Gifts for Babies" with a url /graphic-gifts-for-babies. This needs to be applied to every page, collection and product.

On the product pages work on improving the product descriptions and add the ingredients, or materials of each product. This is important.

On the about us page try to write more about what you can offer for your visitors, what's the benefit of them buying from you.

Add a contact form and link to it from all your policy pages.

Add a business address if you can, this is an important trust factor.

@store-master - Thank you for your feedback - I'm sorry it took me a month to reply.  I had been checking every couple of weeks for feedback and I think I gave up hope that you would have the time.  Thankfully, although I've had my website for 2 years now, I only use my Etsy shop for business so no one sees my website (except 2 very random orders I got).  I didn't want to drive any traffic or sales until I understood what improvements I needed to make!  I'm sure not a lot of people open websites and pay monthly fees for their store not expecting sales but I like to look before I leap.  Thus, I've done zero marketing or optimizations.  Also, yes!  I am a gift store for all sorts of funny gifts.  I want people to see a product and laugh or think "That's cute"!

I'll take your feedback and spend more time working on some details before I promote it.

Anyway, I hope you found my store unique and original (I guess that means the same thing).  I create all of my designs - even my candles are poured by me and I tried to use only images of happy, joyful people to keep that feeling flowing through my pages.

I will take your advice and I appreciate your wisdom and guidance!
